Chip and Karen are both graduates of Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. They have been working with youth and churches in New York for over 25 years. They have experience in teaching, preaching, directing youth camp, youth pastoring and ministering through music. Chip has begun his ministry as Director of JOY Clubs, a ministry of Baptist Church Planters in Grafton, OH, and he is currently engaged in deputation ministry as well.

While serving as the Director at Lamoka Baptist Camp for 16 years, Chip had a unique outreach ministry in his community in the field of emergency medical services. He was an EMT and CPR instructor as well as an interior fire fighter.  He was recognized as “Rescuer of the Year” in 2001 and volunteered in organizing and teaching the “Learn Not to Burn” program to elementary children in the local public schools.

Karen has had experience in office administration as well as teaching as a homeschool mom, providing private music lessons to students in the community,  and teaching at all grade levels in several different school systems. She especially enjoyed the outreach opportunities that God allowed her to have to students in the public school system.

Chip and Karen have been married for 25 years and have been blessed with three children who love music and play various instruments. God has given the Wood family a passion for youth and the church, and their backgrounds have prepared them for this unique ministry. They are passionate about investing all that they have learned into helping the churches of America strengthen the foundation of today’s youth.
